SEVROC 2008

Welcome to SEVROC 2008

Located once again in beautiful Maggie Valley, North Carolina

May 15 to May 18

Very Biker friendly http://applecoverinn.com is the headquarters motel. They have a 20 unit motel and RV/Tent camping on the SAME property. Derrick and Amy are looking forward to seeing us again in 2008.

Straight across the street from Applecover there is a 46 unit Ramada.

To your left is a 21 unit Riverlet
http://riverlet.us

To your right is the 20 unit Four Seasons.

Also within a few hundred yards are more motels which can be found at http://www.maggievalley.org/lodging.html

Just to the left of the Applecover is another campground !!! http://www.hillbillycampground.com  that is also "bike friendly".

Mo will continue to operate KSL about an hour away http://www.kickstandlodge.com

Go to the http://www.applecoverinn.com  and see more pics of their place and some good ride descriptions. Derrick told me last year that for '08 he hoped to have a game room set up in the house next door they bought. Those of you that were there in 2007saw the improvements to the mess hall including the big screen TV and sound system.

We have the large fire pit area as well as space to work on the bikes.

Piper will set up shop to sell his wares and the liquor store is only a block away. He said we could sit lawn chairs out front and watch traffic go by if we wanted too.

Plan on attending the meet and greet get together at Smackers on Thursday night the 15th.

The whole town is bike friendly and they have leather shops, a small independent bike repair shop as well as numerous places to eat. There are Kawasaki dealers in Waynesville and Asheville.

The Kawasaki dealer in Asheville will be hosting a cookout for us around 1:00pm on Friday the 16th so we can take a nice scenic ride on the BRP over there.

For those not in the know or first timers to SEVROC Maggie Valley is close to the Dragon aka Hwy 129 and the Cherohala Skyway and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

http://www.tailofthedragon.com  has info about the Dragon and the Skyway.

Also in MV is http://www.wheelsthroughtime.com/ and in nearby Asheville is the Biltmore House which is the largest private home in America http://biltmore.com/

Cherokee NC is only about 30 minutes away and they have a casino there on the reservation.

Ghost Town in the Sky is now re-opened in Maggie Valley http://www.ghosttowninthesky.com/default.htm and I will try to get us a group rate if anyone wants to go there Saturday with Gale and myself

There are no organized rides this year however we will hang a dry erase board at the AppleCover with any pertinent information and last minute changes in any plans
